We had a flood in Duvall today at the Pickering Farmstead. My kids and I stopped by tonight, just before dark. I met Bob, the owner and his ten year old son. They have had tremendous help from the Duvall community. Matt from True Value donated supplies and took lights over tonight. Roger and Kristen from Safeway donated water, and while we were there, Red Pepper delivered several pizzas. I also saw people drop off food donations, extra water and sub sandwiches. It was amazing, people kept showing up with shovels to help. What Bob said they need now more then anything is help with all off the pit run. (All of the dirt that came down with the water). He needs somewhere to dump it, and a way to get it there and someone to load it. If you can help with this task, please stop by and let them know. They do not live in the flood plans so they don’t have flood insurance. This is going to be a big clean up. Love all the Random Acts of Kindness that continue to happen in our community!
