Duvall Random Acts of Kindness is celebrated ALL YEAR LONG, RAK Week is just a time to get the entire community to focus on one specific week locally, and to cover our town in kindness!
MONDAY: Make a Donation Monday! Donate to your local food bank, blood bank, charity, or shelter. Donate your old cell phones to support victims of domestic violence at Verizon. There will be donation boxes in downtown Duvall in front of Country Collections for your old cell phones and for canned food donations for our local food banks.
TUESDAY: Take Time to Shop & Dine Local Tuesday!Participate in “Dine Out in Duvall” and dine out locally for lunch, dinner or both! Invite your friends to join you. Start your Christmas shopping early and shop locally and discover ALL that our local stores have to offer! Organize a cash mob at your favorite local store.
WEDNESDAY: We Can Make a Difference Wednesday! Make a difference in someone’s life. Randomly open a door for someone, buy a coffee, for someone in line behind you. Buy someone’s groceries, gas or pay their water bill! Be creative and have fun spreading kindness!
THURSDAY: Thankful Thursday! Hand write thank you notes to local business owners, police officers, fire fighters, teachers, baristas, librarians, coaches, your parents, your children, who ever you are thankful for in your life!
FRIDAY: HAPPY HONKING FRIDAY! Drive thru Duvall between 3:30 & 6:00 and HONK your horns for kindness! If you would like to join Duvall Random Acts of Kindness for this fun event, come on down to Main St., grab a sign and a balloon and let the fun begin! You can’t miss us. We will be wearing our bright yellow Duvall RAK t-shirts, carrying roses and smiley face balloons!
SATURDAY: Silent Saturday! Silence those devices and spend to time face to face playing games, eating dinner together or going for a walk with a friend. NO phones, no Xboxes, no TV’s, no laptops. You will be amazed at how much fun you will have!
SUNDAY: Sparkling Sunday! Inspired by our local hero, Helen Hoeing, take some time to clean up in your neighborhood, in town, at your school or local park or trail.
