9TH ANNUAL DUVALL RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS WEEK IS MARCH 2-8
Manners Monday: Make an effort to say please and thank you. Give thank you notes to those you appreciate: a teacher, a business owner, a bus driver, your doctor, veterans, a police officer or a firefighter.
Give from the Heart Tuesday: Leave little heart notes that say you are loved, smile or here’s a hug on a car window, in a library book or with a tip at a restaurant or when you order coffee. There will also be a blood drive taking place at the Duvall Fire Department from 1:30 – 4. You can schedule an appointment at schedule.psbc.org and use sponsor code 2357. Bloodworks NW will have a van at the Fire Station. If you don’t pre-book an appointment, you can still stop by the van and donate blood on March 3.
Wanna Give Wednesday: Drop off donations of canned goods at Hopelink in Carnation or at the drop off location in front of Country Collections in Duvall. Or donate to a local charity. You can also donate items at Twice Blessed Consignment in Duvall and designate them for Acres of Diamonds or Hopelink.
Thankful Thursday: Take time to thank special people in your life by writing and/or mailing a handwritten note. This could include your parents, your kids, your grandparents, teachers, your pastor, etc. Thank your local business owners by shopping at their stores or thank restaurant owners by dining out in Duvall!
Happy Honking Friday: As you drive through Duvall, honk your horn to show your support to local businesses and honk for kindness! Join the kindness warriors from 2 – 5 on March 6 in downtown Duvall to smile and wave at honking commuters. (Just look for the bright yellow signs and balloons!) All ages are welcome!
Sparkling Saturday: Pick up litter in your neighborhood, in a park or on a walking trail.
Silent Sunday: Turn off your devices, look up and enjoy time together with your friends and family. Make dinner together or dine out locally. Play some games or put a puzzle together. Spend some quality “face time” looking at each other instead of looking at a screen!
